Three podiums, including one NASA National championship!

September 16, 2009, Tooele, UT - It was a great weekend for Baer equipped vehicles this past weekend at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT!

First, Ken Kurtz won the NASA USTCC-GT Championship with his Baer - Extreme Plus, brake system shod 1995 Camaro. What was even more amazing about Ken’s accomplishment was that he had to start in the pit lane a full 10 seconds behind the field! Not because of any assessed infractions; but because his lap times were much quicker than the rest of the field. Way to go Ken!

Ken’s Camaro is equipped with Baer 6R calipers on 14” diameter rotors. These are the same calipers used in Baer Extreme Plus brake systems but incorporate features such as Hard-coat anodizing and the ability to perform quick pad changes for endurance competition applications.

Dave Brown also had great results with a runner up finish in NASA CMC. Dave’s 1995 Camaro was equipped with Baer’s GTP Brake system.

Corey Weber, driving the Agent-47 backed Mustang also ran to a strong, runner up position in American Iron.

Paul Brown won his qualifying race and set the fastest lap of the weekend in AIX, but was unable to compete in the Championship race on Sunday. A driveshaft failure earlier in the day did extensive damage to his shifter assembly. Despite working feverishly right up to the start of the race, it was not to be. The damage proved to be too severe and ultimately resulted in a DNS.

Baer would like to congratulate all teams running Baer Brake Systems at this year’s NASA Nationals for their hard work and dedication to Baer!
