SS4+ Drag Spec Dual Staging Brake System ( Rear)

- Features stainless pistons, slightly heavier than aluminum pieces but transfer less heat back into the fluid.
- Dual seals (dust/weather and pressure) to meet D.O.T specifications
- Square shoulder seals as opposed to O-rings product maximum retraction for minimum drag. Eliminates the need for residual valves
- Deeper/longer pistons also prevent "cocking" in the bore. Remove the pad completely and even with the rotor at Min. thickness the piston will never fall out of the bore!
- S4 pads install from underneath the caliper, pad can never exit out of the top.
- Stainless abutment plates eliminate wear of the aluminum body and minimize pad movement and noise.
- Each S4 caliper is built to a specific rotor thickness. Baer does not use spacers between caliper halves.
- Rear 11" will match the front SS4+ and is our smallest rear offering (no park brake). Fits many dual beadlock wheels!
- All 11" rotors are directionally vaned (specific left and right), better cooling and stability over straight vaned rotors.

The SS4+ Rear Dual Staging brake was designed to meet the needs of racers that either have to launch with the foot brake, or use the brake to load the suspension with a transbrake. This is a race only system as it is a completely different way of thinking when it comes to brakes due to the large amount of piston area in the rear (due to the large tire patch contact on the rear of a drag car). The dual staging brake will include a bracket that is specific for your axle end that will not only hold the calipers but also act as a bearing retainer. This is currently available for all the Ford 9" bearing ends and the common hybrid 10/12 bolt with the Ford 3.150 bearing. Due to the 11" rotor this Dual Staging brake has the ability to fit most dual beadlock wheels.

Due to all wheels being built differently Templates are always recommended to verify fitment of the brake. Templates can be found in our catalog section of the site once you search by your make and model.
