Baer 6P Asphalt Caliper

Used for road or track events, 6P calipers offer a great value. With 6-bolts clamping the two-halves of the caliper together, stainless pistons and abutments, 6P units are dollar for dollar tougher than any caliper in their class. A “Competition 6P” machined from alloy extrusions with a hard-coat anodized finish is also available for racing.
6P Features -
- The 6-bolt architecture of the P-series two-piece bodies produces an incredibly stiff caliper.
- Radial mounting configuration disperses loads evenly, makes custom adaptation (when applicable) straight forward and the servicing of pads or rotors a simple, clean and easy task.
- Configured for efficient field service, 6P units use the same pad that is standard on all C5 and C6 Corvettes (excluding the Z06 and ZR1). The FMSI number for this shape is D731 and is available from virtually any pad manufacturer in the world and in an incredible variety of friction compounds for street, track event or full on racing.
- Stainless pad abutments which can be changed easily when changing pads also serve as anti-rattle/noise shims.
- Features internal fluid transfer passages and are bolted together from the back half of the caliper. This arrangement makes the exterior of the P-series ultra clean with no externally visible crossover or bleeder.
- Since only a single bleeder, located on the inner half of the caliper is used, 6P units bleed quickly and easily.
- Available in two width’s for 1.100” or 1.250” thick rotors.
